We then follow the Plima for a short while, then cross the road into the Martelltal valley and walk uphill for a few minutes to the crest of Obermontani where we stop for a well-earned rest. After that we continue next to the Neuwaal, along which water no longer flows. Along the path, however, names and years as well as two self-portraits can be seen that were once carved into a rock by a Waaler (term for a local person). The path now leads us to the Latscher Bierkeller. Today this building operates as a small restaurant, but it used to be a brewery. The brewed beer was stored in caves where the air remained at the same temperature all year round. We pass the Mareinwall and finally reach the ruins of Untermontani before returning to Morter through the fruit orchards. At 4.30 p.m. we arrive back at the hotel.
We drive by car to the car park of the funicular base station of the mountain village "St. Martin am Kofel" in Latsch. Upon arrival in the village, we take a short look at the church, which has been built audaciously on the steep slope. We then walk up an equally steep path through the Lärchenwald (larch forest) to a clearing with the name "Dolomitenblick" (view of the Dolomites). As the name suggests, on a good day you have a wonderful view of the Dolomites. Here we also stop for a pleasant midday break. We then descend to the Hochjochferner (approx. 250 metres) and then with the aid of a rope for security we climb up through the glacier landscape to the Hauslabjoch (3,279 metres). The finding place of Ötzi, the 5,300 year-old glacier mummy, to which we have to briefly descend, is marked with a stone pyramid. We drive by car to the southern valley side of Naturns above the sports pitches. The meditation trail starts here. It was created to mark the end of the millennium. The trail leads uphill with a gentle gradient, and is at times winding. There are 15 meditation points along the trail which are designed to represent various stages in Jesus´ life. Some of them are located at pleasant vantage points. After we have put the climb to the Platzerhöfen behind us we make a stop at Schwarzplatzhof. We now pass through the Schwarzplatz meadows with a view of Naturns and then follow the wooded trail which heads downhill to the Waldschenke (wood tavern) and then back to the cars.

We travel by car into the Schnalstal valley and shortly after the turn-off to "Katharinaberg" we branch off to the right into the Pfossental valley. After driving for approx. 20 minutes we reach the car park of the Jägerrast restaurant. From here we follow the wide gravel track which leads uphill towards the valley. The track is accompanied by wonderful carpets of alpine roses and lush alpine meadows. After approx. 1 hour we reach the Jausenstation (small restaurant) Mitterkaser and then soon after the Rableit-Alm. Up until recently, both alpine pastures were cultivated all-year round. Chamois can be frequently seen on the green slopes. The valley now widens and appealing alpine meadows and larch forests spread out over the terrain. After 50 mins. walking we reach the Eishof Jausenstation (small restaurant) at the end of the valley. The valley is closed off in the north by the main crest of Ötztaler with Hoher Wilde (3,450 metres) and in the south by the Texelgruppe with Hoher Weisse and Texelspitze. We travel by car to the car park at the former restaurant Birkenwald. At first we follow the narrow road downhill for about 15 minutes, close to the so-called Saltenstein where the Waalweg (irrigation channel trail) branches off. We follow this level to slightly uphill trail next to the course of the water through deciduous woods to the end of the Waal. This irrigation channel is still used (just as it has been for centuries) to water fruit orchards. Now we begin the climb to Niederhaus and along the Höhenweg that leads us to the Weiler Tabland above Partschins. Here on the Höhenweg we stop for a break and at the same time enjoy the fantastic views. From the restaurant Prünster on Tabland we walk down through the forest to the foot of the waterfall, accompanied by the roaring of the falling water.
