The history of Naturns goes back to the dim and distant past. Archaeological finds give evidence that this place was populated at least 6,000 years before Christ. There are detailed records about the Romans settling in this area. For instance, the Roman milestone which was found near Rabland demonstrates that Via Claudia
Augusta led past the village in 15 B.C. already.
During the following centuries various peoples and tribes left traces of their passage through our municipality.
