The Indian health principle of Ayurveda is also enjoying increasing popularity here with us in the Alps. The doctrine of a “long and healthy life” (“Ayurveda” translated from Sanskrit) is a complex system of nutrition, massage therapies and exercise, which we use at the Wellnesshotel Preidlhof to the highest level.
Our Ayurveda therapist Nisha Don Pradeep comes from Sri Lanka, the stronghold of Ayurveda, bringing the knowledge and intuition from the original tradition with him to South Tyrol. Nisha studied and worked at the renowned Walauwa Institute in Bentota, Sri Lanka before he came to the Preidlhof.
He considers Ayurveda in South Tyrol to be the harmonisation of traditional healing knowledge with the needs of modern humanity. Nisha uses high-quality, ultra-pure oils from Sri Lanka for all treatments and adapts the applications to your own type of physique – you will also receive individually-tailored nutritional tips to take home with you as part of your holistic Ayurveda experience here with us at the Preidlhof.
High-quality herbal oils support the detoxifying effect of the whole body massage, and accumulated Ama (waste products) are disposed of, and the lymph flow stimulated. Total harmonisation and relaxation.
Dissolves and relaxes the entire musculature of the back, as well as the shoulder and nape area.
One of Ayurveda’s most popular therapies, warm oil is drizzled on the forehead in a constant flow which is especially effective for sleep problems, anxiety, headaches and high blood pressure. Warm oil is poured over the forehead, which is tailored to your individual constitutional type, in slow, gentle movements.
This particular combination of head, nape, face and foot massage reduces tension, stress and increases psycho-physical energy.
During this full-body treatment, our Ayurvedic therapist Nisha focuses in particular on the tense joints.
Kalari is a very intense massage made with the feet, it reactivates, revitalises, deeply stimulates, and dissolves fatigue.
